Introduction

Applications

1. Universal Cross-chain Username in DApps

DApps are the largest application of blockchain, but DApps now have two serious problems.

2. Secondary Verification in Blockchain — Transfers Are More Secure

In the blockchain world, the tragedy of losing large assets due to wrong transfer address happens frequently. Here is the most common example of misses.

3. More

In fact, with the powerful compatibility and extensibility of DAS, any RSA public key can be set as the reverse record of DAS, just as any RSA private key can hold and manage a DAS account. It also means that DAS can bring us a more secure and friendly experience not only in blockchain, but also in other scenarios of Web 3.0 that we can’t imagine yet.

Guide

When you set the reverse record, the relevant information needs to be stored on the blockchain, and it requires 201 CKB of storage space. So please make sure your balance is greater than 201 CKB before setting a reverse record.

Start

Log in DAS Registrar and click on “Reverse Record”, and then set a DAS account.

  1. Your address is in the records of the DAS account.
  1. The ETH address 0x4f67…1279 is in the record of the DAS account.

Reasons for failure

If your reverse record is invalid, please check the following reasons one by one.

  1. the record of the DAS account has been changed and your address is not in the forward resolving record of that DAS account.
  2. The Owner permission of the DAS account is transferred, the resolution record is cleared, and your address is not in the records of the DAS account.
  1. Your address is in the records of the DAS account.

FAQ

Why do I need to freeze 201 CKB to set a reverse record?

When you set the reverse record, the relevant information needs to be stored on the blockchain and 201 CKB of storage space is required to store the data. When you delete the reverse record, 201 CKB will be automatically returned to your balance. There is no cost to edit the reverse record.

Can I set more than one reverse record for one address?

Currently only one reverse record can be set for an address.

If I set alice.bit as the reverse record of my address, will my reverse record be cleared when the alice.bit account expires?

Your reverse record will be invalid, but it will not be cleared. When alice.bit expires, its records will be cleared. You can delete the reverse record at any time and at the same time 201 CKB will automatically be returned to your balance.

If the DAS account I set is sold or transferred to someone else, will my reverse record be cleared?

Your reverse record will be invalid, but it will not be cleared. When the DAS account is sold or its owner permission is transferred, its records will be cleared. You can delete the reverse record at any time, and at the same time 201 CKB will be automatically returned to your balance.

Can I set someone else’s DAS account as my reverse record?

Yes. Any of the following conditions must be met for the reverse record to be valid.

  1. Your address is in the records of the DAS account.

Can I set the reverse records of my multiple addresses to the same DAS account?

Yes. It will work as long as the reverse record for each address meets one of the following conditions.

  1. Your address is in the records of the DAS account.

What Apps are integrated with DAS reverse record now?

Currently, DAS DApp and BestDAS support DAS reverse record, with more applications on the way. DAS reverse record is just live, and it still takes some time for Apps to integrate.
